How to Remove Products from Collections in Shopify?

Learn how to remove products from your Shopify collections, including manual collections, automatic collections, and bulk removal methods.

Quick Method: Remove Products from Collections

Remove from Manual Collection

1. Go to Products > Collections

1. Select your manual collection
2. Click the x (cross mark) next to the product

1. It removes the product from collection

Remove from Automatic Collection

1. Go to Products > Collections

2. Select your automatic collection

3. Add an exclusion condition:

   • Click Add condition
   • Choose product conditions to exclude
   • Select Products must match: all conditions

   

4. Click Save

Method 1: Using Collection Manager

1. Go to Products > Collections
2. Select your collection
3. Click the checkbox to select the collection
4. Click More actions(…) > Delete collection

Remove Products Completely from Shopify

1. Go to Products > All products

2. Select products to remove

3. Click More actions(…)

4. Choose Delete products

5. Confirm deletion

3. Click Convert to manual collection

4. Click Convert

   Note: This keeps existing products but removes automatic rules
